Abuja (Precise Post) – The COVID-19 curve has started to flatten out as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control recorded only 135 new infections on Thursday from 16 states (including the FCT).
In the days past, Lagos alone, the epicentre of the novel virus infections accounted for more than this total cases (135) reported from 16 states.
In the report released via it’s twitter handle, the NCDC said the new cases were recorded from the underlisted states:
Lagos-41; Imo-20; Ogun-14; FCT-10; Kebbi-11;
Rivers-10; Akwa Ibom-8 and Plateau-4.
Others are: Ebonyi, Kaduna, Kano and Osun-3 each; Oyo-2 while Ekiti, Gombe and Nasarawa recorded 1 case apiece.
The health agency further stated that the total confirmed cases have risen to 161,409 out of which 146,890 patients have been discharged.
It also said that the 2,027 lives have been lost to COVID-19 related complications across the various isolation centres in Nigeria since the index case was reported in February 27 last year.
