Abuja – General Colin Powell, a former U.S. secretary of state has died of COVID-19 complications.
Powell who was also Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, died on Monday, according to his Facebook page.
He was aged 84.
Powell’s family said he was fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
His death has elicited widespread shock and mourning.
