WASHINGTON D.C (PRECISE POST) – United States President Donald Trump said Tuesday that most members of NATO have declined to participate in a proposed U.S. military operation targeting Iran, even as they broadly agree with Washington’s stance on Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated that the United States had been “informed by most of our NATO ‘Allies’” that they do not wish to be directly involved in potential military action in the Middle East. Despite this reluctance, he emphasized that many allied nations support the underlying objective of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Trump described Iran as a “terrorist regime” and reiterated a long-standing position among U.S. policymakers that Tehran must not be allowed to develop nuclear capabilities under any circumstances. His remarks suggest a growing divide between strategic alignment and military commitment among Western allies.
The comments come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and renewed international debate over how best to address Iran’s nuclear program. While European and NATO partners have historically supported diplomatic and economic measures, such as sanctions and negotiations; they have often been more cautious about direct military engagement.
It remains unclear what specific military plans Trump was referring to or whether any formal request for NATO involvement has been made. Current leaders across the alliance have not publicly confirmed his characterization of their position.

Precise Post further recalls that Trump’s outburst is coming shortly after the U.S Director of National Counterterrorism Centre ( NCTC), Joe Kent resigned his appointment with immediate effect, adding that Iran does not pose any threat to the America in particular.
