Peter Obi Extends Condolences to KWAM1 Over Double Bereavement

ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – Labour Party presidential candidate in the February 25, 2023 general election and former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has expressed his heartfelt sympathies to popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as K1 De Ultimate (KWAM1), following the tragic deaths of his ex-wife, Alhaja Hafsat Ajoke Anifowoshe, and his mother, Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe, within a span of just a few days.

On behalf of his family, Obi conveyed his deepest condolences to the grieving family.

In a statement released on his X account handle , he described the loss as truly devastating and extended prayers for the fortitude needed to endure such an irreplaceable loss. He also prayed for Allah’s mercy on the departed souls, asking for forgiveness and eternal peace for them.

“I sincerely sympathise with KWAM1 and his entire family during this challenging time of mourning. May Almighty Allah grant them the strength to bear this sorrowful period and provide eternal rest to the departed,” Obi said in the statement.

Precise Post recalls that King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall mother died at the age of 105.

The legendary musician shared the sad news on his social media pages.

He posted a photo of himself with his mother with the caption: ‘Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi Raji’un. RIP Mama’.

This comes just days after KWAM 1 lost one of his wives, Alhaja Hafsat Ajoke Anifowoshe, who passed away on Tuesday following an undisclosed illness.

She was immediately laid to rest at Abari cemetery, Lagos, according to Muslim rites.
