Reps: ‘Sack Pantami’ point of order blocked by Gbajabiamila

Abuja (Precise Post) – Speaker of the , Femi Gbajabiamila on Wednesday blocked the point of order by the of the , Hon. Ndudi Elumelu demanding for resignation or sacking of the Minister of Communications and , Dr. Isa Pantami.

Precise Post recalls that Pantami has been heavily criticised by Nigerians for
once defending activities of Jihadist leaders and deadly Islamic sects.

He preaching back 2000s have been where it was glaring that he once supported Al-Qaeda and Taliban, two most deadliest in the world.

Nigerians have been calling for his resignation or get sacked by .

House , Elumelu raised a point of order asking for resignation of the Minister or get sacked by at Wednesday’s plenary.

Before members get to make contributions, Speaker Gemi Gbajabiamila overruled his point of Order, stating that Elumelu was not acting within his parliamentary privilesge.
“Your point of order is noted,” Gbajabiamila said and hit the gavel.

The plenary has since moved to other items on the House’ agenda.

Meanwhile, the embattled Minister of Communications and participated in Wednesday’s meeting.

Also, in a press interview with the correspondence after FEC meeting, the and National Orientation, Alhaji Lai Mohammed when asked said, Pantami’s matter was not discussed.

, Nyesom Wike has said that no reasonable Government would allow a person with the issues around Dr Patami remain in its cabinet. Adding that ordinarily the Minister should leave immediately but this Government doesn’t care.

“This should not be allowed, saying it was done in the past or he has repented is not the issue.

“It is inexcusable, at best we can say the seeds he sowed has germinated and led to the killing and destruction of people.

“If I was in such a situation I would have tendered my resignation.”
