Taraba 2027: Senators Bwacha, Tutare emerge as PDP, ADC Candidates for 2027

ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –  Senators Emmanuel Bwacha and Abubakar Tutare have emerged as gubernatorial flag bearers for the People’s Democratic Party PDP and African Democratic Congress ADC in Taraba State respectively.

During the affirmation of Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, the leadership of the party raised a voice vote where overwhelming response affirmed Senator Bwacha as the sole candidate of the party for governorship and so is automatically returned elected haven met all requisite qualifications.

In his acceptance speech, Senator Bwacha appreciated the party for a free fair and open primary elections and urge the people to keep faith with the party despite the distractions.

“The development indices in the State have fallen to the lowest in the history of the State. This is unacceptable. Taraba State is for all of us and the state’s resources must not end up in the pockets of a few individuals at the detriment of the vast majority of the people wallowing in poverty and want. We will rise up and take what is ours.

“Let me once again urge you never to sell your consciences. However, if they give you money, take but do what is right for you and our dear State by voting this administration out and ushering in the PDP. You will never regret voting PDP into government come 2027. As an agrarian State, I will open up roads to ensure easy movement and make life better for the people. I stand today to assure you that I will do what is best for you and will not fail you. I have made my 42 point missions statement available. Hold unto it and use it to measure us once we get into power” Bwacha said.

Similarly, Mr Kupchi Maxwell, Chairman of the African Democratic Congress ADC Primary Elections Committee for Taraba State has announced the names of candidates who will contest the party elections in the State

“Gentlemen, we are here for the declaration of results of keenly contested Primary Elections. We are all stakeholders and stand to gain a lot. All registered members of the party had the opportunity to participate in choosing those who will stand elections for the party and those who win are only the arrow heads. They need the support of all to succeed. If we want to make a difference, we must be able to do things differently.

“For the governorship, we have Abubakar Umar Tutare. Some came were elected via consensus, others through direct primaries while others were simply sole candidates and so were affirmed.

“We are aware that some of the aspirants have observations and have indicated some anomalies. The ADC, been a just party, has a strong internal party conflict resolution mechanism. As such, we have put together an appeal committee who will resume work immediately and certificates of return will be issued on completion of their work”.

In his acceptance speech, Senator Tutare said that “I appreciate the party for providing a level playing field for us to participate in this primaries that have placed some of us as candidates of the party. I, on behalf of all the announced candidates, gratefully accept our mandate and we will work together to achieve success. Even though we are in the opposition, we are not scared. We have a solid team that guarantees success.

“Government is large enough to accommodate everybody. I therefore urge those who did not scale through to be sport manly enough to accept the result and let us work together for the greater good. If ADC succeeds, we have all succeeded”.
