ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, GCON, has extended warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Nigerian Muslims, calling on citizens to embrace sacrifice and offer prayers for the country’s progress.
Speaking from Saudi Arabia where he is currently performing the Hajj, Speaker Abbas, through a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, encouraged Muslims to use the festive period to seek divine guidance for Nigeria, especially for its leaders.
Highlighting the essence of Eid-el-Kabir, he urged the faithful to embody the spirit of sacrifice, a core tenet of the celebration, and extend the virtue beyond the festivities.
The Speaker also appealed to all Nigerians, regardless of religion, to commit to both personal and collective sacrifices for the nation’s growth and development. He emphasized the need for unity, prayer, and renewed dedication to national ideals.
“A period like this calls for renewed commitment to the worship of Allah (SWT). With unity of purpose, Nigerians can prosper,” he stated.
He further expressed optimism that Nigeria’s current socio-economic challenges are temporary and can be overcome through resilience and faith. He described them as necessary sacrifices on the path to a better future under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
“Through prayers, selflessness, dedication, and renewed hope, we shall overcome our challenges as a nation,” Speaker Abbas affirmed.
