ABUJA (PRECISE POST)   Group under the auspices of the Northern Nigeria Minorities Group (NNMG) has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and its citizens on the occasion of the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

In a statement issued by Chief Jacob Edi, Convener of the group and Kakaki Bassange, the NNMG described the milestone as a significant opportunity for national reflection and renewed commitment to the ideals of unity, peace, and progress.

“Over the last six and a half decades, our unity and resolve to remain as one indivisible nation have been tested repeatedly. We remain solid and unwavered,” the group said, emphasizing the resilience, patience, and collective hope that have kept the nation together.

The NNMG paid glowing tribute to Nigeria’s founding fathers and successive leaders, as well as ordinary citizens whose daily sacrifices, it noted, have contributed to the country’s endurance and growth.

Particular praise was given to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with the group commending his bold leadership and policy decisions. According to the NNMG, Tinubu’s approach to governance demonstrates a commitment to prioritizing national stability and long-term development over political interests.

“As we celebrate 65 years of independence, we must not forget that what has held us together is far greater than the forces that seek to divide us,” the statement added. “Our diversity, resilience, and shared hope remain the major ingredients of the Nigerian spirit and a propeller towards a brighter future.”

The group concluded by urging all Nigerians to stay purpose-driven, reaffirm their faith in the Nigerian project, and work collectively to build a nation that fulfills the dreams of its founding fathers.

“Happy 65th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria,” the message concluded.
