ABUJA (PRECISE POST) – The Department of State Services (DSS) has captured Abdulazeez Obadaki, a notorious terror suspect who escaped during the July 2022 attack on the Kuje Correctional Centre in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Precise Post recalls that Obadaki was among more than 800 inmates, including several Boko Haram suspects, who fled after insurgents breached the facility in one of Nigeria’s most shocking security failures in recent years.
Security sources say the fugitive played a leading role in violent operations while on the run, including coordinated bank attacks in Uromi, Edo State, and the fatal shooting at Deeper Life College in Okene, Kogi State, both carried out in 2022.
The DSS confirmed that Obadaki was tracked and re-arrested following intensified intelligence operations. Further investigations and prosecution are expected to follow.
