Salam-Alabaja made the declaration on Wednesday in Ilorin during the submission of his letter of intent at the APC Secretariat.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after submitting the letter, the aspirant pledged to prioritise security in Kwara through partnership with the state and the Federal Governments.
He explained that, if given the opportunity to serve, he would collaborate with Kwara and Federal Governments to facilitate infrastructure, equipment and intelligence that would deal with insecurity, especially in compromised areas.
Salam-Alabaja, a Chartered Accountant, said his focus would be transparency, stakeholders’ inclusiveness and infrastructural development in his senatorial zone.
He added that the initiatives would bring about development, infrastructural and economic growth across Kwara south and other part of the state.
“I will be transparent and carry the people along in everything I do in Kwara,’’ he pledged.
Salam-Alabaja also pledged to bring on board the youth, as think-tank for innovation and growth, adding, “I will put in place necessary finances to support them.’’
He also promised to empower women and people living with disabilities by building special centres for skills acquisition and entrepreneurship.
He assured that they will be trained, empowered with fund, basic tools and market accessibility.
Accepting the letter, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, the Kwara state APC Chairman commended the aspirant for taking such a giant stride.
He observed that he was very much aware of the goodwill of the aspirant in the senatorial zone. (NAN)
