‘Dad has been sleeping with me since I was 7’

A 49-year-old man has been taken into police custody in Ogun State after his teenage daughter reported that he routinely had sex with her for five years. The 12-year-old reportedly told police that her father started sleeping with her since she was seven. Police said Ubong Williams Akpan claimed his wife was looking quite old and no longer attractive to him, hence the recourse to sleeping with his daughter as a substitute. Detectives arrested him on March 2 when the girl reported the alleged affair to the Divisional Police Officer at Itele Ota divisional headquarters, Monday Unoegbe, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP). She told the police that her father managed to sustain the affair for five years until she could not bear it any longer and had to report him to the police. Commissioner of Police Edward Ajogun directed that the case be transferred to the family support unit of Ota area command for further investigation and prosecution. Internet Fraudsters: EFCC Arrests 18 Suspects In Ogun

The Commission said they were arrested at Remo Majestic Hotel, Shagamu, Ogun State during an operation by Operatives of the EFCC on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. The suspects are: Ibrahim Oreniyi Atolani, Tijani Faruk Ayobami, Yisa Ademola Ibrahim, Olukoya Aliu Temidayo, Sulaimon Sharafdeen Adebayo, Adebayo Abiodun Mustapha, Lateef Aremo Shina, Ali Mukit Olamilekan and Tajudeen Taiwo Hassan. Herbalist, 20, arrested for Ogun hotelier’s death

Misipode Dosu, a 20-year-old herbalist who allegedly killed a hotelier, Jimoh Bello, has been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command seven months after the incident. Bello, the owner of a popular hotel in Owode-Yewa, was found dead in the boot of his Toyota Camry parked at the Omo-Ilu Owotedo area, via Idiroko town. The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Thursday. Two Fake Soldiers Arrested by Police in Ogun

Abeokuta (Precise Post) – Two fake soldiers met their waterloo after they were caught and an angry mob descended on them before they were rescued by a team of policemen who arrived the scene. An angry mob nearly lynched two suspected fake soldiers who specialised in theft and terrorising people before they were rescued in Sagamu, Ogun state.
