Abuja (Precise Post) – Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni has called on the Minister of Agriculture and the people of NAADs to save Ugandans from fake imported seeds.
Museveni said that he has for months now boycotted onions because we no longer have ‘serious onions’. We are losing our original seeds with real flavor like onions, tomatoes oranges, and others just because some outsiders said we should lose them. They must be restored.
He was reacting to the Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) that are being forced upon countries to their detriment.
Museveni who reacted via his twitter handle account @KagutaMusaveni tweeted thus:
“I would also like to take this opportunity to warn the people of NAADs and the Ministry of Agriculture to save our people from these fake imported seeds. We have very good local seeds.
