Abuja (Precise Post) – The United States President-elect, Joe Biden has reacted to the president’s supporters violent rioting at the U.S. Capitol building, calling on Trump to go on national television now to fulfill his oath and defend the Constitution by demanding an end to this siege.
Biden who made the call via his twitter handle stated that “America is so much better than what we’re seeing today. Our way is plain: It is the way of democracy — of lawfulness, and of respect — respect for each other, and for our nation.”
Biden’s series of tweets read:
“I call on President Trump to go on national television now to fulfill his oath and defend the Constitution by demanding an end to this siege.
‘Our way is plain: It is the way of democracy — of lawfulness, and of respect — respect for each other, and for our nation.”
Precise Post recalls that the president’s supporters violent rioting at the U.S. Capitol building is taking place at a time when the American Congress and Senate are expected to meet jointly with the ‘Electors’ of each state for a certification of the presidential election.
Joe Biden was said to have won the November 3 Presidential election but the incumbent President Donald Trump has claimed victory alleging that the election was the worse rigged election in the history of American democracy.
