APC Legal Adviser Hails Mary Alile-Adele, Felix Morka as Models of Party Leadership

ABUJA (PRECISE POST)  –   The National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Murtala Aliyu Kankia, has called on party leaders at all levels to emulate the commitment and work ethic of the party’s National Woman Leader, Dr. Mary Alile-Adele, and National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, describing them as two of the APC’s most dedicated national officers.

In a statement issued to journalists on Thursday, Kankia said the ruling party must guard against complacency as Nigeria’s political landscape becomes increasingly competitive, stressing that only leaders willing to devote their time, resources, intellect and energy to party building would sustain the APC’s electoral dominance.

He particularly commended Dr. Alile-Adele for what he described as an exceptional nationwide mobilisation drive, noting that she has gone beyond the traditional responsibilities of a National Woman Leader to become one of the APC’s strongest grassroots mobilisers.

According to him, Alile-Adele has consistently deployed her personal energy, intellectual capacity and resources to mobilise women, youths and other critical stakeholders in support of the party’s programmes across the country without waiting for directives or external encouragement.

Kankia described such voluntary commitment as increasingly rare in contemporary politics, where many office holders, he said, often limit themselves to performing only official duties.

He urged party officials who believe in the APC’s ideals to draw inspiration from her example, maintaining that enduring political success is built on sacrifice, loyalty and sustained grassroots engagement rather than occupying leadership positions alone.

The APC legal chief also praised National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, describing him as one of the party’s most effective spokespersons whose consistent defence of APC policies has helped counter opposition narratives.

He said Morka has remained steadfast in articulating the party’s position on national issues despite sustained political attacks, earning admiration within the APC and making him, in his words, “the envy of opposition parties.”

According to Kankia, both Alile-Adele and Morka have demonstrated that effective leadership is measured by action rather than rhetoric, adding that their commitment has strengthened public confidence in the ruling party at a time of heightened political competition ahead of future elections.

He urged APC executives at the national, state and local government levels to adopt the same spirit of dedication, warning that political parties can only thrive when their leaders take personal responsibility for mobilising supporters and defending party ideals.
“Dr. Mary Alile-Adele is more than a National Woman Leader. She has shown exceptional commitment by investing her time, energy, resources and intellectual capacity in building the party. Likewise, Felix Morka has remained a steadfast defender of our policies and programmes. These are qualities every party leader should emulate,” Kankia stated.

He expressed confidence that the sacrifices of both party officials would further strengthen the APC’s internal cohesion and long-term political prospects, encouraging them to remain committed to advancing the party’s vision.

The endorsement by the APC National Legal Adviser comes as the ruling party intensifies efforts to consolidate its structures nationwide, with increasing emphasis on grassroots mobilisation, effective communication and organisational loyalty ahead of future political contests.
