Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State, has said he will soon tell the people of the state which presidential candidate they should support for the 2023 presidential election. Singer and actress, Jennifer Lopez has revealed how she felt after her first marriage to Ben Affleck crashed.  Reflecting on her rekindled romance with the actor in an interview with Apple Music 1, Lopez said she felt she was going to die after her first engagement to Ben Affleck was called off.  She said; “It was so painful after we broke up. “Once we called off that wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest heartbreak of my life. I honestly felt like I was going to die. “It sent me on a spiral for the next 18 years where I just couldn’t get it right. But now, 20 years later, it does have a happy ending. A man has been caught on camera stealing a bundle of naira notes. A CCTV footage has emerged showing the moment the man stole the bundle of Naira notes from a cashier’s desk. The video has been shared online. In the footage, the man could be seen walking to the cashier’s desk and then moving the bundle of Naira notes while she was busy attending to another customer. Plans have been made to add over 98 megawatts to the national grid by the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN. This is coming as TCN energized a new 2X60MVA, 132/33kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Gwarinpa, Abuja recently. TCN’s general manager of public affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah stated this in a statement released to DAILY POST on Tuesday. According to her: “The 132kV transmission substation is one of the five substation projects comprising the Abuja Ring Projects, funded by Agence Francais de Development (AFD). The substation which has six (6) feeders through which bulk electricity is transmitted to Abuja Electricity Distribution Company’s (AEDCs) load centres, receives bulk supply from the Katampe 132kV Transmission line. “The other four substation projects are at various stages of completion. Two would soon be energized while the other two are ongoing. Significantly on completion of the entire project, the FCT and environs would have adequate power supply for the next 50 years. “The Abuja Ring Project is one of the several projects being executed by TCN to further expand the transmission grid. The world-famous Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, reportedly sent a text to Piers Morgan after the game against Uruguay. Ronaldo is said to have immediately texted Piers Morgan from the locker room after his side’s World Cup 2-0 win over Uruguay to claim that he did, in fact, touch teammate Bruno Fernandes’ cross to open the scoring. This claim was made by former USA international, Alexi Lalas. “The breaking news is that Cristiano Ronaldo did not score despite his claims that it [the ball] did touch him,” Lalas said on Fox Soccer. “I was just with Piers Morgan and he said that Cristiano texted him from the locker room saying that he believes that it touched his head. A Labour Party’s women leader in Kaduna State, Mrs. Victoria Chintex, has died. The woman was shot dead by gunmen who stormed her house on Monday night. It was learnt that Chintex, was the Labour Party’s women leader of Kaura, Kaduna State. Her husband was also said to have sustained injuries from shots in his leg. Edward Simon Buju, the Publicity Secretary of Labour Party, Zone 3, Kaduna State, confirmed the assassination of the women leader. Buju, according to Grassroot Reporters, described the late Chintex as an industrious, hardworking and dedicated woman who died at a time the Party and the country needed her most. He called on the people of Kaura Local Government and the party faithful to be law abiding, urging the police to investigate the murder and bring the perpetrators of the dastard act to book.
